How long does it take for the birth control pill to clear up acne?

I’ve been on Marvelon-28 for almost 2 months now. I was prescribed it to clear up my acne and to regulate my periods, but I’m almost done my 2nd packet and I haven’t noticed a single improvement in my skin yet! My doctor was convinced this would work.

I’ve read around, and people say it takes “a few months”, but it’s been almost 2 months for me and there has been no improvement. So, for those who take/took the pill to clear up acne, how long before it cleared up your skin?

Usually it takes at least 3 months. However, BC does not always clear up acne. For some people, the BC only makes it worse. Additionally, you may not notice a huge improvement. Yes, it may decrease the acne on your face, but you will still get pimples and blackheads. Just keep up witha good skin care routine to help you out in addition to the BC
